The REMIX version is currently going through festival submissions. The REMIX is a remixed version of the original song and an updated production of the video itself, with the addition of Carmen performing & more with depictive graphics. Carmen was not in the original video. The orginal video was more of a lyric video with graphics. Song awards are from the following: Hollywood Songwriting Contest, American Tracks Music Awards, Global Music Awards, American Songwriting Awards. Video awards are from the following festivals: International Music Video Underground, Los Angeles CineFest, Great Lakes Christian Film Festival, LA Live Film Festival, Art Color Digital Cinema International Film Festival.

The Disillusioned Music Video

“The Disillusioned” Music Video Film, directed and produced by Carmen Traub, was a semi-finalist and was screened twice at the ZED FEST FILM FESTIVAL at the REGAL NOHO theater 11/11/2025 & 11/12/2025. The video film was also nominated in the LA INDIE HORROR FEST. The song is included in the “Shut Up and Shoot” sound track.

SONG  HISTORY: Carmen wrote an earlier version of the song called “Disillusioned” that was released on Carmen’s first album “Brain Chain Freedom – Freedom From Tyrants”. That first version was produced by Bulldog. The song was later rewritten with Barry Coffing. The song name was changed to “The Disillusioned” to separate the two versions. The new co-write was  produced by Dale Penner, but wasn’t released. The final song release was the  The Boomtang Boys remix. The video features the Boomtang Boys version.

 ABOUT ABRASIVE

Abrasive was originally released in Canada and received commercial airplay and charting status. The song was remixed and released on Carmen’s Brain Chain Freedom – Freedom from Tyrants album, remixed by Bulldog. The original version of the song was a winner in the Write On 97 Songwriting Contest, and later, the remix was a winner in the American Tracks Music songwriting contest. The video was awarded in the following festivals: The Los Angeles CineFest and The Art Color Digital Cinema International Film Festival.

Another version of the video is currently in production.
